  • There is no need to buy any equipment to take part, just turn up on the day, but:

    • You may wish to carry a bottle of water with you, particularly in warmer weather.

    • Smoking is not allowed during the walks or at the meeting point.

    • Children under 18 are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

    • Dogs, except guide dogs, are generally discouraged from our walk.

Why walk with us?

Apart from our being a very friendly bunch: all of our walks provide an opportunity for you to improve your health, make new friends and get to know the local environment.

We shall ask you to complete a short health questionnaire before your first walk (which is kept entirely confidential) and you will be asked to sign our walk register before each walk.  You are asked to arrive about 10 minutes before the walk begins; this provides an opportunity to share any news, and for the walk leader to describe, briefly, the walk and alert you to any challenges, such as a style or a muddy patch in a field, for example.
